VACANCY: EASA B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Airbus H225 (M/F/X)
REPORTING TO: Chief Engineer
LOCATION: Africa
Aero Support Force has a requirement for a certified, experienced, technically proficient specialist to fill this position in Africa.
You will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of Airbus H225 (EC225) helicopters by performing scheduled and unscheduled avionic and electrical maintenance, guarantee compliance with EASA, SACAA, and company standards in line with Part-145 regulations and SAF Aerogroups safety culture and support the continuity of operations on remote contracts across Africa with high standards of quality and reliability.
The role involves close collaboration with B1 Licensed Engineers, Line Maintenance Teams, Logistics, and the Technical Office; coordination with Flight Crews and CAMO Representatives; and liaison with Suppliers and OEMs to ensure effective technical support.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out line and base maintenance on Airbus H225/AS332 helicopters in accordance with EASA and SACAA Part-145 procedures.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair avionics, electrical, and instrumentation systems using wiring diagrams, schematics, and AMM.
- Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and necessary modifications (SBs, ADs).
- Sign off work using EASA B2 license privileges, validated by SACAA, if required.
- Ensure proper documentation and completion of technical logbooks, CRS, and maintenance records.
- Support flight readiness through pre- and post-flight checks.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven ability to ensure the airworthiness and operational readiness of H225 (EC225) helicopters.
- Strong understanding of avionic and electrical systems maintenance, both scheduled and unscheduled.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA and SACAA regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with and adherence to Part-145 maintenance regulations.
- Commitment to upholding the companys safety culture and operational standards.
- Willingness and ability to support remote contract operations across Africa.
- Flexibility for international travel and deployment on a contract/roaming basis.
- High attention to quality, reliability, and operational continuity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The following list of qualifications is essential to fill the position:
- Valid EASA B2 or SACAA License.
- Helicopter type rating H225 (EC225).
- Extensive experience performing maintenance on H225 (EC225)/Super Puma helicopters.
- Demonstrated experience working within Part-145 approved maintenance organisations.
- Prior experience operating in remote and/or international field environments (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and quality control procedures.
