Job Title: EDI IT Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified EDI IT Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and integrations. The role involves working with various data formats, protocols, and tools to ensure seamless data exchange between different systems and trading partners. Responsibilities also include analyzing client business requirements, creating and managing EDI maps, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new EDI systems and integrations, including mapping and translation rules.
• Create and manage EDI maps to transform data into different formats such as XML, X12, and EDIFACT.
• Work with new and existing trading partners to establish communication and data exchange processes.
• Maintain and update existing EDI systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and operation of EDI systems.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of EDI transactions.
• Create and maintain documentation for EDI systems, processes, and trading partner information.
• Work within established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall, using version control systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest EDI standards, technologies, and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT, and protocols such as AS2 and FTP.
• Proficiency in creating and managing EDI maps using various tools and techniques.
• Experience with programming languages relevant to EDI development, including Java, C++, or SQL.
• Knowledge of database concepts and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
• Experience with integration platforms and tools including MFT and APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve EDI issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
