About the job Intern - Data Science

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and testing of Data Science and AI solutions under the guidance of senior team members
  • Assist in data collection, preprocessing, cleansing, and exploratory data analysis activities
  • Contribute to the development of Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for business use cases
  • Support Generative AI initiatives, including prompt engineering, document processing, embeddings, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
  • Assist in developing and testing AI-powered applications and APIs
  • Participate in experimentation, model evaluation, and performance analysis activities
  • Support the implementation of basic MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model tracking, versioning, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders during project execution
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, and demo materials related to AI/ML solutions
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI

Person Specifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in data science, IT/Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Technical Expertise

  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
  • Awareness of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and RAG concepts
  • Basic understanding of Agentic AI concepts and AI orchestration frameworks is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with Python programming and common libraries/frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Understanding of APIs, REST services, and basic software development practices
  • Basic knowledge of databases, SQL, and data processing concepts
  • Familiarity with Git/version control systems is an advantage
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an added advantage
  • Awareness of MLOps/LLMOps concepts is desirable but not mandatory
