Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Practice best Quality Engineering guidelines defined by the Quality Engineering department
• Collaborate with engineers to understand business requirements clearly
• Work with the Associate Quality Assurance Lead to understand technical specifications including API specifications and system integration behavior
• Participate in requirement review sessions and log clarification requests for ambiguous requirements
• Perform functional and API test case design, execution, and defect management
• Perform API testing including request/response validation, status code verification, and negative scenario validation
• Assist the Associate Lead in preparing test plans and test strategies
• Identify non-functional requirements and support validation of performance, reliability, and scalability requirements
• Drive and actively participate in System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Validate integration flows across dependent systems and verify backend/database data consistency where applicable
• Prepare UAT documentation and support UAT demonstrations
• Follow Agile processes and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks
• Follow escalation procedures and maintain clear communication when issues arise

Person Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or BSc equivalent qualification
• 03+ year(s) experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Good understanding of QA practices, testing concepts, and testing models
• Hands-on experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes
• Knowledge in Test Management tools (Jira/HPQC)
• Hands-on experience in manual testing with strong API testing expertise. Experience in test automation or willingness to contribute to automation initiatives is preferred
• Basic knowledge of OOP concepts
• Analytical, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Understanding on Scrum and Agile practices
• Understanding of integration testing and backend data validation concepts
• Exposure to performance or load testing concepts will be considered an advantage
• Exposure to Telco BSS systems or telecom domain will be considered an advantage
