About the job CBS Developer

Key Responsibilities

  • Will be under billing development team and report to team lead and program manager
  • Will be assigned service requests that require development in billing system, development detail will be provided by team lead
  • Open to give advice to team lead if the development detail given is not correct or any better solution/approach
  • You shall complete development within the timeline given by team lead
  • Development should be done with unit test, to ensure it is working as per requirement and solution from billing system perspective
  • Inform change coordinator upon development completion
  • Facilitates UAT and QA team during the testing phase
  • Attending defects during UAT phase, by discussing the fix with team lead and ensure fix provided within the agreed timeline
  • Informing team lead if encounter issue during development and testing phase
  • Handover development detail to Ops team before deployment
  • Deploy the changes into production without issues
  • Support production live testing and facilitate PVT team
  • Continue learning and pickup new technologies from learning portals, forums, and internal knowledge sharing

Person Specifications

  • 03 years of experience and above in related field (Telecommunication)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication engineering or other related field
  • Computer Literacy: UNIX/PL SQL/JAVA/Switch/C++ command skills Microsoft Office Suite
  • Language: Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Teamwork character as successful projects are realized through appropriate management of people/team
  • Possess a good sense of urgency since SRs/USs need to be prioritized accordingly
  • Strong in problem solving
  • Positive minded, confident, flexible, and adaptable
  • Hands-on experience of billing system configurations, ability to write CRLs
  • Hands-on experience in managing LINUX/UNIX
  • Knowledge of C++, Python to write code level changes for Huawei CBS Platforms
  • Qualified in managing/supporting daily billing system Operational issues
  • Deep understanding of CAP, DCC, SS7, SMPP, VOIP, Sy,Gx and Gy interface
  • Deep understanding of billing system call, data flows and ability to run and understand Debug logs for issue handling
  • Understanding of different billing system modules i.e Debt Collector, AR, GL
  • Understanding of Integration of billing system modules with 3rd party systems
  • Ability to understand the billing system related Impact assessments and work closely with team lead to advise alternative approaches if a better way to implement the solution is available
