Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the organization's Data Governance Framework, including the development, documentation, and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, procedures, and controls
- Establish and maintain processes to ensure data quality, integrity, security, privacy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance across enterprise systems and platforms
- Partner with IT, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and business stakeholders to drive data governance initiatives, strengthen data stewardship practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements
- Oversee the implementation and effective utilization of data governance tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance data management, monitoring, reporting, and governance capabilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support on data governance, data management, data protection, and privacy-related matters across the organization
- Support the Head of Risk & Compliance in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance frameworks across ADL
- Assist in enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and mitigation activities in collaboration with business units, risk owners, and the Risk & Compliance function
- Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality, insight-driven reports to Senior Management, the Risk & Compliance Management Committee, the Board Risk & Compliance Committee, and the Board of Directors, including strategic risk insights and mitigation recommendations
- Provide strategic oversight and contribute to sustainability reporting and disclosures in line with regulatory, group, and stakeholder expectations
- Monitor and evaluate ADL's sustainability performance, ensuring transparency and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee the development and continuous enhancement of the Annual ADL Sustainability Report, ensuring alignment with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and evolving best practices
Person Specifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional - CIMP, Certified Data Management Professional – CDMP, Certified Risk Management Professional - CRMP) are preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in governance, data management, enterprise risk management or a related field, ideally within the software or technology industry
- Experience in managing and optimizing data governance for software systems and products
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws, regulatory requirements, contract law and experience ensuring compliance in a technology context
- Experience with data management and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation)
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with software development and data architecture, including databases, data warehouses, cloud platforms, and API integrations
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality tools and technologies
- Understanding of data privacy and security principles, particularly in relation to SaaS or software-based environments
- Ability to leverage data analytics and reporting tools for tracking governance metrics
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management and sustainability within the software or technology industry
