Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to best Quality Engineering (QE) guidelines and standards defined by the QE department
• Work closely with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirement documents
• Identify unclear or ambiguous requirements and escalate for clarification in a timely manner
• Design, write, and maintain detailed functional test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria
• Execute functional test cases and document test results accurately.
• Log defects with clear reproduction steps and verify fixes after resolution
• Actively participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) activities
• Support the preparation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documents and assist in UAT demonstrations
• Follow Agile and Scrum methodologies during the software development lifecycle
• Ensure timely completion of testing activities to support on-time delivery
• Follow the organizational hierarchy and escalation procedures when issues arise

Person Specifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent BSc qualification with 1+ year of relevant experience
• Solid understanding of basic QA practices, testing concepts, and testing models
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or HPQC
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
• Good understanding of Agile and Scrum practices within a QA environment
