Key Responsibilities

Performance Testing Leadership

  • Lead and own end-to-end performance testing for mobile and web applications, from requirements analysis through final sign-off
  • Define performance test strategies aligned with business and customer experience expectations
  • Act as the primary QA performance point-of-contact for stakeholders, including engineering, architecture, and product teams

Customer Experience–Focused Testing

  • Design and execute tests focused on customer experience KPIs, including Page load and response times, Rendering performance, Throughput and concurrency and Bandwidth simulation
  • Translate business SLAs and UX expectations into measurable performance benchmarks

Tooling & Execution

  • Use LoadRunner (mandatory) or equivalent enterprise-grade performance testing tools to conduct web and mobile performance tests
  • Perform realistic browser-based and mobile performance testing (not API-only or protocol-only testing)
  • Create and maintain performance test scripts, scenarios, and workloads that reflect real user behavior

Analysis & Optimization

  • Conduct detailed bottleneck analysis
  • Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable insights to development and infrastructure teams
  • Work closely with developers to resolve performance issues, plan fixes, and lead retesting and validation cycles

Planning & Data Preparation

  • Plan test schedules, environments, and entry/exit criteria for performance testing cycles
  • Prepare and manage test data required for realistic volume and workload simulations
  • Ensure performance testing is embedded into the overall QA and release lifecycle

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and enforce performance quality standards and best practices
  • Mentor QA engineers on performance testing approaches, tools, and result interpretation
  • Continuously refine performance testing frameworks and methodologies

Person Specifications

  • 8+ years of experience in QA, with strong specialization in performance testing
  • Proven hands-on expertise in LoadRunner (or equivalent enterprise-grade tool)
  • Deep experience in web and mobile performance testing, focusing on end-user experience rather than API-only testing
  • Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, browser rendering, and client-side performance and Network behavior, bandwidth simulation, and latency impact
  • Demonstrated experience in performance analysis, tuning, retesting, and closure
  • Strong ability to interpret performance results and identify root causes
  • Experience working collaboratively with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues
  • Ability to convert non-technical business expectations into performance test metrics
  • Proven experience leading performance test initiatives independently
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to influence quality outcomes and push performance improvements across teams

Good to Have

  • Experience in Banking applications or Fintech domain
