Key Responsibilities

Content Quality Governance

  • Define, implement, and enforce technical writing standards and editorial guidelines
  • Conduct final quality assurance reviews of engineering blogs prior to publication
  • Ensure consistency across content in terms of tone, voice, technical depth, clarity, and readability
  • Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to engineering authors

Checklist Review Oversight

  • Own and continuously improve the engineering blog submission checklist framework
  • Ensure all submissions meet defined criteria, including:
    • Technical completeness
    • Logical structure (problem solution outcome)
    • Compliance with security, IP, and confidentiality standards
  • Review and approve checklist validations performed by junior technical writers

Blog Formatting & Editorial Excellence

  • Oversee content editing, including rewording, simplification of technical concepts, and language quality
  • Ensure logical structuring and high readability of all articles
  • Maintain consistency in formatting aligned with publishing platform standards
  • Ensure proper inclusion of visuals (e.g., architecture diagrams), captions, and references

Publication Management (Medium Platform)

  • Own and manage the end-to-end publishing workflow on the organization's Medium publication
  • Coordinate with engineering authors, reviewers, and approvers to ensure timely publication
  • Manage approval workflows and publishing schedules effectively

Blog Status Monitoring & Tracking

  • Design and manage a comprehensive blog tracking system or dashboard
  • Monitor submission pipelines, review progress, and publication timelines
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance efficiency

Management Reporting

  • Prepare periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) covering:
    • Number of blogs submitted and published
    • Turnaround times
    • Content quality metrics
    • Contributor engagement levels
  • Provide insights and recommendations to engineering leadership on content trends and areas for improvement

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership, Architects, SMEs, and Corporate Communications (where applicable)
  • Drive author engagement initiatives and promote a strong content contribution culture

Person Specifications

  • 6–10+ years of experience in technical writing, engineering content, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, English, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience working closely with software engineering teams
  • Prior experience managing content workflows or editorial teams is highly preferred
  • Advanced technical writing and editorial skills
  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts and practices
  • Expertise in content structuring and storytelling
  • Editorial governance and quality assurance capabilities
  • Workflow and process management skills
  • Strong analytical and data-driven reporting abilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
