Head of IT Operations (Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking a strategic, technically strong and visionary Head of IT to lead our organizations technology landscape. This role requires hands on leadership in managing complex global IT environments and infrastructure, implementing global standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 22301, and driving robust, secure, and scalable multi cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Huawei Cloud

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide IT initiatives
• Analyze current technology infrastructure and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals
• Lead ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 22301 implementation and ongoing compliance efforts, ensuring cybersecurity, privacy, and business continuity frameworks are in place and effective
• Oversee the governance of IT policies, procedures, and frameworks, ensuring consistency, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Manage and optimize multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, Huawei) to ensure scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
• Establish and manage IT security standards, protocols, and disaster recovery programs to meet system reliability and regulatory requirements
• Ensure network architecture and IT infrastructure meet performance and security standards across the enterprise
• Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of complex IT projects, ensuring they meet departmental and business KPIs
• Stay abreast of evolving cybersecurity threats and lead proactive defense strategies
• Provide strategic IT guidance to senior management on technology investments, cost-benefit analyses, and risk management
• Act as a mentor and coach to IT leaders and team members to build a collaborative and high-performing technology team
• Collaborate with other C-level executives to ensure technology is leveraged for maximum business impact
• Evaluate and negotiate with technology vendors, ensuring optimal value, service, and integration alignment

Experience required

• Proven experience implementing and managing ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 22301 standards
• Strong experience in multi-cloud management: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Huawei Cloud
• At least 10 years of progressive IT leadership, with experience in a senior IT management role
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing management, including volume licensing, compliance, and cost optimization strategies
• Demonstrated success in strategic IT planning, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity leadership
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and vendor negotiation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Masters Degree in Business administration, MSc in IT, Fellow membership from a Recognized IT professional body, Chartered IT professional
