Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring applications, platforms, and systems for issues, and support tracking them through to resolution within agreed timelines
  • Support the identification and basic troubleshooting of system issues and assist senior team members in resolving incidents and service requests
  • Perform day-to-day technical operational tasks under supervision as part of regular support activities
  • Follow standard operating procedures and assist in escalating unresolved issues to appropriate internal or external teams
  • Contribute to maintaining knowledge repositories such as SOPs, Work Instructions, KB articles, and whitepapers
  • Working on 24×7 operational support models and roster based working environments
  • Client interaction and end user support handling

Person Specifications

  • Following a bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Candidate must complete minimum of 02 years of the degree program
  • Knowledge of software life cycles, software application architecture and IT systems/architecture
  • Knowledge of IT network and security
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud tools, basic cloud operations and cloud monitoring
  • Knowledge/experience on monitoring and Tracking application/platforms/system
  • Knowledge of IT service management or similar
  • Knowledge/experience of basic IT industry standards
  • Flexibility/Experience in working on 24x7 rosters
  • Good analytical skills and decision-making skills
  • Good communication skills (soft/hard) and teamwork
  • Experience in Linux/Unix or Windows environments (OS and commands)
  • Experience in scripting (shell scripting, PowerShell, pearl, python, etc.)
  • Experience with Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL etc.)
  • Experience in at least one or two programming languages

Added Advantage

  • Knowledge in Cloud and DevOps tools
  • Microservices using containerization tools (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Cloud certification
  • Knowledge in Telecommunication will be an added advantage
  • ITIL® certification
