Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Mobile

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and implement best Quality Engineering (QE) guidelines defined by the QE department
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to understand business requirements
• Work with the Associate QA Lead to interpret and clarify technical specifications
• Participate in requirement review sessions and raise clarifications to ensure unambiguous requirements
• Design, write, and execute functional test cases
• Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and management
• Contribute to test automation activities, including scripting and basic troubleshooting where applicable
• Support the Associate QA Lead in preparing test plans and test strategies
• Identify non-functional requirements (NFRs) and support NFR testing strategies
• Drive and support system integration testing activities
• Prepare User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation and facilitate UAT demos
• Perform hands-on mobile application testing (Android/iOS)
• Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies throughout the QA lifecycle
• Deliver assigned tasks within defined timelines
• Follow proper escalation processes and hierarchy when required

Person Specifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Experience in mobile application testing is required
• Exposure to automation testing is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
• Strong knowledge of QA fundamentals, testing concepts, and testing models
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and defect management
• Experience in mobile application testing (Android/iOS)
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira or HP QC
• Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Knowledge of test automation tools; experience with Appium is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Good understanding of Agile and Scrum practices
