OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST BAND 6

Job Description:

• The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• The post holder will support other teams as needed.
• The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high-quality OT and care management to patients with simple to complex needs within the intermediate care units and within the community.
• The post holder will be actively involved in team and service developments with the support of line manager.
• To develop strong working relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
• To provide supervision to band 5 OT(s), Rehabilitation Assistants and OT students whilst on placement in the service.
• To be actively involved in Continuing Professional Development.
• To be involved in caseload management with varied patients who have mobility, musculoskeletal, cognitive and neurological problems.

Note:

• 8-4 Monday to Friday or compressed hours x3 8-6, x1 8-5.30;
• To work within the community so car driver essential. Experience with reablement;
• rehabilitation in the community desirable. DBS required.
