Job Description:

  • The post holder will undertake generic assessments on behalf of the CFT and NDLD teams as well as complex re-assessments and inter-agency liaison and those assessments where a systemic input is indicated.
  • The post holder will adopt a flexible approach to working with children/young people, their families and networks, taking account of changing needs during the course of intervention.
  • The post holder must be able to work effectively and imaginatively with families of young people with a mental health problem, taking account aspects of social difference (e.g. cultural heritage, language, religion).
  • Skills in risk assessment, risk management, and the formulation of treatment plans will be essential.
  • Where indicated, the post holder will work individually with children/young people, using a systemic approach, and drawing on other models as appropriate.
  • The ability to work in ways sensitive to the needs of families from a wide range of racial, cultural and religious backgrounds will be important as well as a sensitivity to issues of sexuality, disability, class and age.
  • The post holder will participate in and help develop the on-going work of one of the Tier2/3 family therapy clinics.
  • Will consider part time applicants and condensed hours.

Note:

  • Cannot support fully remote working, must be able to attend site at least part time. 2-3 days face to face / from base working as a minimum.
  • DBS required.
