Job Description:

• Based in the PPU multi-profession therapy team alongside dietician, occupational therapists, speech and language therapist and therapy assistants and will have daily contact with the PPU clinical lead therapist.
• Responsible for the continuing development of a highly specialist physiotherapy service, providing expert assessment and treatment for adult inpatients in the PPU including ad-hoc outpatient services.
• Highly skilled and experienced in the Physiotherapy management of patients with a tracheostomy and respiratory conditions.
• A strong leader with line management and will also be required to support senior and junior physiotherapy staff, rehab technicians and students.
• Working as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients receive timely assessments and interventions while taking responsibility for the management of a team.
• Deputizing for the Therapies and Dietetic Service Lead for PPU, to ensure the development of collaborative and multidisciplinary team working practices across the Private Patient's Unit.
• Be actively involved in Physiotherapy service development within PPU Service and assist clinical lead with audits.
