Job Description:
- To offer advice and consultation on service users psychological care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to promote appropriate psychological ways of working.
- To work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, taking on the responsibility within the team for psychological assessment of risk to self and others, psychological formulation and interventions.
- Providing and evaluating a range of psychological interventions (individual and group) for service users and families using a range of therapeutic approaches.
- To utilize a range of routine outcome measures to evaluate interventions for individual, group and family work.
- Participate in partnership working with individuals, groups, communities and agencies.
- Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, training and consultation to others across a wide range of agencies and settings where appropriate.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex and potentially stressful topics in a range of situations.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior psychological therapists.
- Provide reflective practice sessions for the Service.
- Contribute to planning, implementing and evaluating rehabilitation and recovery activity in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Staff Group.
- To contribute to team meetings and effective operation of the rehabilitation community team.
- Be familiar with the principals of child protection procedures and legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
- Continue to develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.
- Promote best practice in health, safety and security.
