Director People and Culture

Location: Mexico City

We are seeking an experienced Director of People and Culture to lead the Human Resources function for a growing international company with operations in Mexico. This role will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the people strategy, supporting business growth, and building a high-performance culture.

The People Director will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, leadership development, organizational design, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and HR operations. This role will also work closely with global HR teams and participate in international HR initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters.
  • Develop and implement the people strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and retention initiatives.
  • Drive performance management and organizational development processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican labor law and corporate policies.
  • Oversee payroll, HR administration, HR systems, and reporting.
  • Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs aligned with global structures.
  • Support organizational change, transformation, and business expansion.
  • Participate in global HR projects and collaborate with international teams.
  • Manage HR budgets including headcount planning, training, engagement, and HR initiatives.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior HR leader with experience working in international and multicultural organizations, ideally within industries such as:

  • Digital or e-commerce companies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles such as People Director, HR Director, HR Business Partner Lead, or Country HR Lead.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law.
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Experience working in matrix and international organizations.
  • Experience leading change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with global HR systems such as SAP Global / SuccessFactors or similar HRIS.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory).
  • Availability to travel internationally.
