Intern - Finance

Overview

The Intern – Financial Accounting & Revenue is responsible for completion of accurate financial accounting, revenue recording and timely financial reporting for ADL Indonesia. The role also supports Group reporting requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance with group accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and finance activities
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice verification and payment follow-ups
• Assist in monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on pending settlements
• Assist in preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions
• Support the preparation and maintenance of monthly and quarterly financial records, schedules, and reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals and assets tagging
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date finance documentation and filing in line with internal controls
• Support the preparation of supporting schedules for audits, tax requirements, and internal reviews
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow-related activities when required
• Perform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Finance team

Person Specifications

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Following Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA Sri Lanka or equivalent) or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Technical & Functional Skills

• Knowledge of accounting standards (SLFRS / IFRS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
