About the job Safety Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and approve Fire Life Safety (FLS) drawings at the design stage to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
2. Conduct site visits during the construction phase to verify implementation of FLS measures.
3. Issue certificates for completion of FLS work in the construction phase, confirming compliance with approved designs and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaborate with design and construction teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
5. Stay up-to-date with relevant safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, safety, or architecture).
2. 5-10 years of experience in a safety engineering role, preferably in construction or a related industry.
3. Strong knowledge of FLS - SBC codes, regulations, and standards.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications:
1. OSHA certification (or equivalent) preferred.
2. FLS certification (e.g., NFPA, IFC) desirable.
