Job Summary
A chemical distribution company in Amman, Jordan is seeking a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between the company's technical product portfolio and its clients' needs — building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing tailored chemical/technical solutions to customers across various industries, with a focus on detergent and chemical manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular client visits and maintain ongoing communication to follow up on sales opportunities and strengthen relationships.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical/product solutions from the company's portfolio.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and actively work to expand the customer base.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, quantities, and specifications, recommending suitable alternatives when needed.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support technical discussions and business development.
• Collaborate with internal technical and supply chain teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and market developments relevant to the chemical/detergent manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in detergent/chemical manufacturing companies is preferred; candidates from other manufacturing industries will also be considered.
• Good communication and sales skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate product specifications into customer-relevant solutions.
