Role: Website Designer Intern

Department: Digital Marketing - Website Team

Reporting To: Website Manager (Team Lead)

Duration: 3–6 months (with possible extension or absorption)

Role Overview

The Website Designer Intern will support the design and visual enhancement of company websites and digital assets. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates seeking hands-on experience in UI/UX, web design, and front-end collaboration within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing website layouts, landing pages, and UI components aligned with brand guidelines

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools such as Figma

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of design assets

  • Support website updates including banners, graphics, and content layout improvements

  • Optimize designs for responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

  • Contribute to improving user experience (UX) through research and usability insights

  • Maintain consistency in typography, color schemes, and visual standards across all web pages

  • Assist in basic image editing and asset preparation (e.g., resizing, exporting, compression)


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
    • Multimedia Arts

    • Fine Arts

    • Graphic Design

    • Web Design / Development

    • Or any related design-focused course

  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and web design best practices

  • Familiarity with design tools such as:
    • Figma (preferred)

    • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator 

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required

  • Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and layout composition

  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and design systems

  • Good communication and collaboration skills

  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working on personal or academic web design projects

  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first approach

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)

  • Awareness of accessibility and usability standards
