Business Development Executive (Demand Generation & SQL Growth)

Department: Sales (with close collaboration with Marketing)

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for executing demand generation activities and converting campaign-driven interest into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). This role sits within the Sales team and works closely with Marketing to ensure that demand created through campaigns, webinars, and digital channels is actively followed up, qualified, and translated into booked meetings and qualified pipeline opportunities. This is a hybrid role that bridges demand generation execution and sales development, with clear ownership of SQL generation.

Key Responsibilities: 

Demand Generation Execution

  • Marketing list maintenance and Hubspot campaigns and sequences execution
  • Support the execution of demand generation campaigns, including but not limited to
  • email campaigns, webinars, and social media initiatives.
  • Assist in growing and engaging LinkedIn groups and communities relevant to target
  • accounts.
  • Track and follow up on campaign responses and inbound interest in a timely manner.

Prospecting & Account Management

  • Maintain and update a prospect tracker for assigned accounts (e.g., universities and
  • other public sector assignments)
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential prospects based on campaign engagement and
  • sales criteria.
  • Research key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts.

Outbound Outreach & Qualification

  • Execute structured outbound email outreach to targeted prospects.
  • Conduct qualification conversations to assess prospect interest, needs, and fit.
  • Convert engaged prospects into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) using agreed qualification
  • criteria.

Meeting Generation & Sales Support

  • Book qualified meetings and demos for the Sales team.
  • Ensure proper handover of qualified opportunities with clear context and next steps.
  • Support Sales-led activities such as webinars or briefings through outreach and followups.
  • Support Sales with demos when needed

Pipeline Contribution & Reporting

  • Track and report key activities and outcomes, including:
    • Outreach emails sent
    • Qualified conversations
    • Meetings booked for Sales
    • SQLs generated
    • Pipeline opportunities influenced
    • Provide insights to improve campaign-to-SQL conversion

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Completion and accuracy of Prospect Tracker
  • High-Priority Prospects Identified
  • Conference Leads Captured

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Open to fresh graduates with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in sales development, business growth, or marketing execution.
  • Coachable, proactive, and results-driven.

Work Schedule: UK Shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 MN / 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
