Machine Operator Sewing

Pay: CA$17.20 - CA$18.00 per hour

Job description

Qualifications:

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki
• Open to newcomers, many languages spoken, training available in many languages.
• Fold and stitch the ends of 3/4-inch-wide strips of material using programmed stitch patterns
• Read work orders to load the correct thread color, grab the correct materials and check your work against a printed art proof
• Using a bar code scanner, scan to begin a work order and scan again to complete work order.
• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed
• Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals

• Willingness to learn, experienced sewers will help you be successful even with basic sewing skills
• Experience in Commercial/industrial Sewing using Single and Double needle machines
• Experience in handling cotton or synthetic as sewing materials
• Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piecework or production basis
