About the Company:
Our client is a pioneering biotech company transforming gene therapy by optimizing viral vector production. Their proprietary platform enables 100% AAV capsid filling in just a few hours, significantly improving efficiency and clinical success rates.
Position Overview:
The Program Manager will oversee cross-functional projects across R&D, client collaborations, and drug development. This role ensures strategic alignment, efficient execution, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of three primary project types:
- Internal R&D: Advancing core platform technology for improved efficiency.
- Client-Focused Projects: Supporting biotech and pharma partners in leveraging the platform for their own therapies.
- Proprietary Drug Development: Managing internal therapeutic programs to enhance the company's impact and valuation.
- Align research, business, clinical, and operational teams.
- Optimise processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Manage stakeholders and mitigate project risks.
- Track KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential:
- PhD or MSc in Life Sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields).
- Proven program management experience in biotech, biopharma, or life sciences.
- Strong knowledge of viral vector development and analytics (AAV experience highly preferred).
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners (CMOs, CROs, and technology providers).
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot process development challenges in viral vector manufacturing.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, translating technical and scientific work into actionable business strategy.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with GMP, Quality by Design (QbD), and regulatory frameworks.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
