Area: Fetakgomo Municipality close to Tsibeng in the Limpopo Province.

Description:

The purpose of this role is to safely install, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment and machinery to ensure plant/operations performance is maintained within the desired key performance metrics as required.

Minimum requirements and experience:

• 5 years' experience in a mining processing environment.

• PGM, Chrome experience will be advantageous

• English language proficiency

• Ability to read and interpret basic circuit diagrams.

• Ability to interpret readings obtained from electrical measuring equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering and instrumentation drawings.

• Knowledge and understanding of process plant equipment and processes.

• Knowledge pertaining to lock-out and isolation procedures.

• Fault Finding on equipment within a mining process plant environment.

• Fault finding on VSD's
• Medium Voltage switch gear will be definite advantage

Key Competencies & Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with B&E Health & Safety rules, policies and procedures.

• Carry out required electrical maintenance tasks within the mining processing plant.

• Attend to all electrical breakdowns, daily inspections, PM and new installations.

• Electrical Installations: install and commission three phase AC machines and control gear as well as single-phase AC machines; install and terminate low and medium voltage cables and conductors etc.

• Electrical Maintenance: maintain the integrity of workshops, work areas, auxiliary service areas, storage areas and substations; maintain and prepare thee phase AC machines and control gear, maintain low and medium voltage switch gear; maintain transformers etc.

• Electrical Diagnoses: Diagnose faults on electrical reticulation systems, inspection, record and report condition of low and medium voltage station apparatus and related equipment.

• Conduct medium voltage switching.

• Conduct standby duties and attend to call-outs after hours.
