Earthmoving - Diesel Mechanic

Job Position: EARTHMOVING : DIESEL MECHANIC

Area: PEMBA MOZAMBIQUE

Reports to: Plant Manager / Processing Manager

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and result-oriented mechanic to assist our senior mechanic. MOZAMBICAN CITIZENS ONLY NEED APPLY.

Minimum Requirements

• N2 Qualification
• Must be qualified and hold a Trade Certificate (earthmoving/diesel)
• Minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in a similar environment
• Proven track record with the required technical skillset
• Able to work unsupervised
• Proficient in English and Portuguese
• Valid drivers licence
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff and management.
• No criminal record

Specification Job

• Ensure that all the relevant checklists are carried out by all relevant operators daily.
• Ensure that all relevant maintenance procedures are adhered to
• Monitor equipment availability daily
• Carry out service and repairs on the respective plant items
• Diagnose problems from electrical, hydraulic schematics
• Minimise plant downtime and treat it as a matter of urgency
• Ensuring that the Company's preventative maintenance systems are adhered to
• Ensure maintenance work meets OSH legal requirements, compliance and standards
