About the job Salesforce Technical Architect

Salesforce Technical Architect

Play a leading role in a leading business and build your legacy.

On behalf of our client, a leading Salesforce and cloud tech consultancy, we're looking for a Senior Salesforce Technical Architect to join their team in Johannesburg.

This is a great role for an experienced architect who enjoys juggling client's technical challenges  and the opportunity to guide a company's technical direction.

You'll be a key technical leader in the business, designing solutions while also helping to shape standards and mentor your colleagues.

What you can expect in this role:

  • A voice in the technical direction: You'll be one of the most senior technical people in the business. This means you'll have a real say in the architectural standards and the technologies the company adopts.
  • Interesting and varied projects: You'll get to work on challenging projects for large clients, giving you broad exposure and keeping the work engaging.
  • Full-stack development: The role covers the full spectrum of the Salesforce platform, from back-end Apex to front-end Lightning Web Components (LWC). You'll be designing and building out complete solutions.
  • A hybrid and flexible work environment: The role is based in Johannesburg to be available for client meetings, but you can expect to work from home most of the time.
  • Leadership and mentorship: You'll have the chance to help other developers grow their skills and will be responsible for setting and maintaining high standards for the team.
  • Direct client engagement: You'll be deeply involved in the pre-sales and design process, working directly with the client's team to understand their needs and design effective solutions.
  • A collaborative culture: You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, empathy, and a shared focus on delivering high-quality work.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and developing well-crafted solutions across the Salesforce platform.
  • Taking a lead role in technical design sessions and pre-sales meetings with clients.
  • Establishing and enforcing technical best practices and coding standards.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the development team.
  • Working with a mix of autonomy and team collaboration in a hybrid setting.

About you:

This role is a good fit for someone who is already at an advanced level in their Salesforce career.

You're comfortable being the go-to technical expert and are looking for an opportunity where you can have a tangible impact- not just on the projects you deliver, but on the technical capabilities of the organisation as a whole.

If this sounds like the right fit for your next step, let's explore it in greater detail- apply and let's have a conversation!
