This is a key leadership role within a dedicated business intelligence practice, offering a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic client consulting, pre-sales engagement, and team leadership. The position is fully remote.
What you will be doing:
This senior role takes ownership of the entire business intelligence lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategy & Leadership: Defining and implementing the organisation's BI strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to clients on analytics and the adoption of self-service BI. You will also identify emerging trends to enhance service offerings.
Pre-Sales & Solution Development: Engaging with prospective clients to understand their BI needs, challenges, and maturity. You will lead discovery workshops, define data-driven use cases, provide cost estimations, and support sales teams in crafting proposals.
Technical Oversight: Architecting and overseeing the end-to-end development of enterprise BI platforms and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker. This includes ensuring seamless integration with cloud databases and enterprise applications.
Team Leadership: Building, managing, and mentoring a team of BI developers and data analysts. You will foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning while providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Governance & Compliance: Establishing robust BI governance frameworks to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security, including defining role-based access controls and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
What you will need to bring:
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or enterprise reporting.
Strong expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
Proficiency in SQL, DAX, MDX, and various data modelling techniques.
Experience with cloud-based BI platforms, for example, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS QuickSight, or Google BigQuery.
A strong grasp of data visualisation principles and dashboard UX/UI.
Previous experience in a pre-sales or consulting capacity, including solution costing and proposal writing.
Excellent leadership and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data insights.
Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, Google Looker, or related cloud data analytics platforms are advantageous.
