DevOps & Python Engineer (GCP & AI Focus)

We're looking for a skilled DevOps and Python Engineer to join our top client for a 12-month contract. 

Your mission will be to help simplify and optimize the codebase for lean, secure, and scalable deployments on Google Cloud. 

If you enjoy writing clean code and working with a modern tech stack that includes LLMs, this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Writing and maintaining efficient, async Python applications and automation scripts.
• Integrating and orchestrating workflows with Google's Gemini LLM, with a focus on performance and cost.
• Containerising applications using Docker and deploying them seamlessly to Cloud Run.
• Building and managing our GCP infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules.
• Securing the environment with a security-first approach to IAM and VPC networking.

What You'll Bring to the Table

• Strong experience with Python development, particularly async programming.
• Hands-on skills with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficiency in writing and managing infrastructure with Terraform.
• A solid understanding of containerisation with Docker.
• An interest in or experience with LLM integrations and a security-first mindset.

Tech Stack

• Python (Async), GCP (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub), Terraform, Docker, Gemini (LLM).

• Location: Onsite is preferred, but we offer flexibility.
