About the Role

Our client, a boutique consulting firm specializing in private equity advisory, is looking for an IT Project Manager Strategy & Operations to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in operations and IT strategy, combined with proven experience in leading complex consulting engagements. You’ll work closely with private equity clients and their portfolio companies to identify enterprise value opportunities, manage delivery teams, and drive strategic performance improvements across areas like supply chain, IT, manufacturing, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead and manage client engagements from strategy to execution across operational and technology-focused initiatives.
  • Guide and support consultants and associates in the development of key deliverables, ensuring technical quality and alignment with client goals.
  • Drive enterprise value improvement by identifying and prioritizing operational and financial enhancement opportunities.
  • Oversee the execution of project activities using tools such as Gantt charts, budgets, risk assessments, and RACIs.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality, client-ready documents and presentations.
  • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to support project insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with both the Information Technology and Operations teams to ensure streamlined knowledge sharing and delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and best practices.

People Development

  • Mentor and coach consultants throughout project delivery and internal firm initiatives.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to team members and support their professional growth.
  • Play an active role in internal training initiatives and knowledge development.

Firm Development

  • Participate in internal projects that enhance firm capabilities, tools, or systems.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of consulting and/or relevant industry experience, ideally with a focus on operations and IT strategy.
  • At least 2 years in a project leadership or engagement manager role.
  • Experience in application selection, implementation, and process optimization.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a bias for execution.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic client environments.
