Our client, an international 5-star luxury resort nestled near Ubud, Bali, is seeking an Assistant Director of Marketing to spearhead strategic marketing initiatives. The role involves exploring and proposing new marketing tools in line with brand guidelines, image, and strategies to maximise brand awareness and drive sales.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years in marketing or brand management, preferably in luxury hospitality or lifestyle brands, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; Masters degree is an advantage.
- Solid background in digital marketing, public relations, and brand development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and implementation of the annual marketing plan in alignment with resort and brand strategy.
- Ensure all marketing communications reflect the resorts positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity.
- Identify market trends, competitor insights, and new opportunities to strengthen brand visibility and performance.
- Support the development and promotion of unique resort experiences, including culinary, wellbeing, events, and sustainability.
- Oversee digital marketing activities, including website content, SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
- Manage the resorts content calendar, including photo/video shoots, storytelling campaigns, and influencer collaborations.
- Ensure consistent and timely updates across all digital platforms in coordination with the brand team.
- Optimize online presence and engagement through organic and paid strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and travel trade partners.
- Coordinate press releases, media visits, press kits, and PR events.
- Monitor media coverage and maintain a press archive.
- Represent the resort at travel fairs, networking events, and brand-related initiatives when required.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to support key business periods and departmental promotions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Reservations, and F&B teams to align messaging and campaign timing.
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and optimize based on data insights.
- Identify and pursue brand partnerships to amplify the resorts presence.
- Curate and execute on-site guest experiences and lifestyle activations in line with marketing themes.
- Work closely with Corporate/Regional Marketing to align with group initiatives.
- Prepare monthly marketing reports on performance, ROI, and KPIs.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively and ensure cost control without compromising quality.
- Track marketing expenses and negotiate with vendors, creatives, and media partners.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
