About the job Head Chef

Our client, a renowned international cafe and bistro known in Canggu, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join their dynamic team. 

As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, creating innovative and enticing menus, managing kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and collaborating with other departments to create unique dining experiences that align with the brand guideline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Culinary arts is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Head Chef or 3 years solid experience as a Sous Chef from a well-established restaurant or cafe brands in Seminyak, Canggu or Pererenan area.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in menu development and culinary innovation, with a focus on creating unique, high-quality dining experiences.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Create innovative and appealing menus that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations
  • Control inventory and order supplies, managing food costs and minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and management, to ensure seamless service
  • Monitor food quality and consistency, ensuring every dish meets the established standards
  • Develop and implement kitchen procedures for efficient workflow and optimal kitchen performance
  • Handle customer feedback and address any concerns related to food quality or service
