About the job Wellness Practitioner (Local)
Reports to: Spa & Wellness Director
Our client, an eco-luxury wellness resort in Bali, is seeking a talented and passionate Wellness Practitioner.
As a Wellness Practitioner, you will be responsible for recommending holistic therapies, fitness and yoga practices, retail products and nutritional advice to help guests to maintain a healthy lifestyle, eliminate impurities, reduce stress, etc., with a strong emphasis on revenue generation.
To carry out personalised one-on-one consultations and conduct group and private sessions. To provide ongoing training for Spa and Resort hosts and therapists in areas of wellness, revenue generation, and to assist the manager in planning, organising to meet the wellness brand standards.
Requirements
- A degree or certification of the following: Allopathic Doctorate, Ayurveda Doctor/Physician, Physiotherapy, Fitness and Nutrition, Naturopathy, Homoeopathy, Anatomy and Physiology and/or similar health-related fields.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in the Spa & Wellness industry.
- 3+ years of experience in personal coaching.
- Active personal involvement with the sales strategy/process, with emphasis on continuing to increase visibility and positioning of the Integrated Wellness Program.
- Resorts, hotels, or Destination Spa experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality operations.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Passion to assist and support others.
- Open to local Indonesian citizens only.
Responsibilities
Operational - Wellness Screening & Programs
- Conduct the wellness screening as per company standards. To provide the highest level of service to guests, that which is safe, hygienic and creates the ambience to ensure high guest satisfaction and organization profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high employee morale.
- Based on the findings, create a health program for the guest that they can follow (free of charge) at home as well as (paid) services from the spa to improve their health.
- Communicate program to all needed departments to ensure a smooth implementation across the spa/resort.
- To maintain up to date Guest profile sheets, updating database with guest body types and any special requirements.
- To maintain a close liaison and daily catch up meeting with gym team to ascertain progress of guests on the Integrative wellness program.
- To evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Spa Management.
- To have a Holistic approach to his/her profession.
Administrative/ Reporting
- Record monthly the number and revenue of direct and indirect wellness revenue as per the template
- Assist the Manager with integrative wellness financial reports.
- Log all service & product recommendations.
- To attend departmental meetings as required.
Sales & Marketing
- Together with the Spa Manager/Director, create a marketing plan of how to promote the screening to guests before and during their stay of guests, involving all needed departments.
- Create together with the Spa Manager/Director, and lead generation and sales goals and take active measures to achieve these goals.
- Activities to promote the wellness screening at the location include performing wellness workshops to promote the Spa and actively encouraging guests to have repeat wellness consultation follow-ups.
- To communicate with the spa manager/director for a press release or recent development in the spa.
- To provide wellness-related content for the Spa's Social media.
Training, Development & Coordination
- Together with the Wellness Manager/Director and HR, coordinate wellness initiatives in the front and back of the house.
- Identify knowledge gaps within the resort and work together with the HR/training department (if available) to fill them.
- To conduct complimentary activities for hosts.
- To assist the resort reservations team in actively promoting integrative wellness and encourage leads to be passed to enable conversions.
- Attend regular wellness webinars organised by the corporation.
- Ensure the standards and methods of service are maintained as per the brand standard/manual.
- To work in liaison with the Spa Management to maintain all training standards.
Equipment & Room
- Ensure the consultation rooms meet the standards.
- Take active measures to ensure all needed equipment is available and in good working order at all times.
- To ensure that the Integrative wellness equipment is stored and used in a secure manner, protecting the asset and ensuring confidentiality of the guest's personal details.
- To carry out monthly stock count for wellness screening equipment such as electrodes, disinfectant, etc. and communicate to the Spa Manager/Director.
- Take proactive measures to ensure all needed items are available at all times.
- To report any breakage or malfunction of any items at the spa and follow up on the repair and maintenance.
