Our client is an eco-luxury villa offering scenic views and a tranquil ambience in Bali. They are looking for a Director of Human Resources to lead their team. 

As a Director of Human Resources, your role is crucial in developing and implementing strategic human resource policies to align with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will oversee key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training to foster a productive and engaged workforce.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years as a Human Resources Manager.
  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality, eco-tourism, or high-end resort environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and best practices in the hospitality sector.
  • Proven ability to design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Proficiency in performance management, training, and professional development programs.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics for HR metrics.
  • Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a luxury eco-villa environment.
  • Able to demonstrate skills in financial analysis especially for the training cost.
  • Bali-based candidates are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement Human Resources policies in collaboration with management, ensuring their effective execution throughout the organization.
  • Supervise all employee facilities, conducting daily inspections to maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance.
  • Ensure proper staffing in each department according to needs, maintaining an up-to-date list of available candidates.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, utilizing Human Resources recruitment job competencies and interview profiling.
  • Maintain and regularly update a Benefit Grid for the brand, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage an electronic database of past, current, and potential employees (talent file) for recruitment purposes.
  • Ensure the Training & Development program is implemented, maintained, and improved to accommodate business trends and staff growth.
  • Prepare employment contracts using standard templates for the General Manager's signature, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date files for each employee, including recruitment information, contracts, and performance records.
  • Ensure all personnel processes and action forms are completed accurately and timely, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct an annual salary and benefit survey within the industry to recommend and assist management in implementing strategies that position the brand as the Employer of Choice within the region.
  • Develop and implement proper management tools and processes in collaboration with management, following brand guidelines.
  • Recommend changes in job titles, positions, and grades to management.
  • Proactively manage employee discipline, in line with the employee handbook and defined procedures.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the employee assessment process, recording and following up according to the scheduled timeline.
