About the job Sales Manager
Our client is a five-star luxury beachfront resort in Bali, catering to an international clientele and offering a balanced blend of vibrant lifestyle experiences and refined relaxation, and is currently seeking a Sales Manager to support market development and drive overall sales performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Sales & Marketing within the luxury hospitality industry, including at least 2 years in a Sales Manager or similar role.
- Proven experience with luxury resorts, five-star hotels, or internationally recognised hospitality brands.
- Strong understanding of luxury market segments, including FIT, Leisure, Corporate, MICE, Wholesale, Consortia, and Luxury Travel Advisors (e.g., Virtuoso).
- Possess established relationships with travel partners, luxury travel agencies, corporate clients, destination management companies (DMCs), and key accounts, both locally and internationally.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business, manage key accounts, negotiate contracts, and consistently achieve sales targets.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to identify business opportunities.
- Experience working collaboratively with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to maximize hotel performance and revenue.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional language(s) will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for sales calls, trade shows, roadshows, and client engagements.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify business opportunities by researching prospects, evaluating their position in the industry, and analyzing sales options.

Drive sales by establishing contact, building strong relationships with prospects, and recommending suitable solutions.

Maintain and grow client relationships by providing ongoing support, market information, and guidance, while identifying new opportunities and recommending service or profit improvements.

Stay up to date with industry trends, market activities, and competitor developments to identify potential product or service enhancements.

Prepare accurate sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data.

Ensure high standards of service quality by adhering to and enforcing organizational policies and procedures.

Support overall team objectives by contributing to shared goals and completing related tasks as required.

Assist the Assistant Director of Sales as needed to support daily sales operations.

Conduct site inspections and hotel show-rounds when required.

Proactively update management on any trade-related developments that may impact the hotels business performance.
- Actively participate in weekly sales meetings by contributing ideas, insights, and market updates.

Prepare detailed sales call reports and ensure timely follow-up after each call.
- Maintain and update account files in accordance with established standards.

Take ownership of assigned markets or accounts and ensure consistent performance.

Develop and maintain business relationships with both existing and new clients within the designated market.

Maintain and further develop mailing lists for assigned markets.

Collaborate with the sales team to maintain and enhance the customer database for assigned markets.
- Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customer needs.
