Reporting line: Cluster General Manager

Our client is a luxury independent resort located in Payangan, Bali. They are currently seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to lead and execute strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, strengthen brand positioning, and expand market presence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel sales and marketing role or similar capacity for 5* resort operations in Bali
  • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and consistently deliver strong performance in a competitive market
  • Passion for client relations with a track record of exceeding expectations through tailored service and strategic engagement
  • Strong motivation, integrity, and resilience, with a results-oriented mindset and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated strength in leadership, negotiation, and effective communication
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing strategies and brand development
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison with local convention bureaus, hotel associations, tourism boards, airlines, travel agencies, and tour operators.
  • Establish and manage an effective marketing budget, recommending optimal fund allocation for direct mail, advertising, sales trips, client entertainment, and more.
  • Conduct sales forecasting and implement strategies to boost business during weekends and low seasons.
  • Recommend and execute special promotional events such as food festivals, art exhibitions, property tours, and themed events.
  • Drive sales initiatives across Rooms and F&B segments, including targeting FITs, tour groups, conventions, banquets, and receptions.
  • Develop revenue opportunities in auxiliary departments such as laundry, spa, pool, retail space, catering, and other ancillary services.
  • Coordinate all marketing channels advertising, PR, promotions, direct sales, community engagement, training, and guest relations to maximize revenue.
  • Set annual sales goals, create actionable plans, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and implement annual marketing plans and organize weekly sales activities to optimize team productivity and budget use.
  • Advise the General Manager on advertising strategy media choice, timing, messaging and budget for campaigns and direct marketing efforts.
  • Provide timely reporting that includes weekly and monthly sales plans, market analysis, daily activity reports detailing client interactions and sales efforts, as well as a monthly summary of new business secured, which is to be submitted to the General Manager.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings involving the General Manager, Front Office Manager, and Public Relations team.
  • Fulfill general supervisory duties and any additional assignments from management.
  • Report directly to and work under the direction of the General Manager.

People Management:

  • Participate in training programs organized by management and relevant departments.
  • Represent the company with professional conduct and appearance at all times.
  • Maintain strong collaboration and communication with the sales team.
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion.

  • The Sales Manager may be replaced or supported by the Banqueting Sales Manager when necessary.
