About the job General Manager
Our client is a 5‑star luxury resort within an international chain located on Fiji's Coral Coast, recognised as one of the most reputable brands in the area. They are seeking a visionary General Manager to lead the property, drive operational excellence, and deliver world‑class guest experiences.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as General Manager or senior leadership position in ultra-luxury resorts/hospitality brands.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the luxury hospitality sector, preferably with international exposure.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to drive profitability while maintaining world-class guest experience.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead diverse, multicultural teams.
- Deep understanding of ultra-luxury service standards, guest expectations, and market trends in Fiji and beyond.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on management style, ensuring both operational excellence and long-term business growth.
- Ability to represent the property with professionalism, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, owners, and VIP guests.
- Experience with Forbes Travel Guide Standards or LQA (Luxury Quality Assurance) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the resort, ensuring world-class guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Oversee all departments (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, Engineering, etc.) ensuring seamless coordination and performance.
- Drive financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting, cost control, and revenue generation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of service excellence and accountability.
- Ensure the resort consistently delivers an ultra-luxury guest experience that aligns with brand standards and exceeds expectations.
- Represent the resort to key stakeholders, including ownership, local authorities, travel partners, and the global hospitality community.
- Implement innovative strategies to strengthen the resorts positioning in the competitive luxury market.
- Oversee compliance with local regulations, sustainability practices, and corporate policies.
- Act as the brand ambassador, upholding the values and reputation of the resort globally.
