Our client, an ultra-luxury resort ranked among the top ten in the Maldives, renowned for its world-class service and transformative guest experiences, is now seeking an Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of bespoke events and celebrations of their high end guests. 

As an events manager, your role is to collaborate with clients and the internal teams to design tailored experiences from intimate beach weddings to large world-class functions, ensuring seamless logistics, exceptional service delivery and attention to the resort's luxury standards. 

You will lead event operations, manage vendor partnerships, control the budget and ensure all events reflect the brand's five-star hospitality and attention to detail. 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in events or guest experience-related roles within a 5-star luxury hotel or resort.
  • In-depth knowledge of resort activities and experiences. 
  • Strong teamwork and leadership potential with a collaborative attitude. 
  • Excellent project management abilities and clear, effective communication skills.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Fluency in the Russian language is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of design software is beneficial.
  • Skilled in cost control and budget management.
  • Willing to relocate to a remote island of the Maldives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of PR, Marketing & Events in coordinating all internal and external events.
  • Manage a wide range of events: intimate weddings, family celebrations, high‑profile festive occasions, and luxury brand collaborations.
  • Plan and deliver private guest events from concept to completion.
  • Oversee event timelines and coordinate with vendors, entertainment partners, and internal departments to ensure flawless execution.
  • Monitor event budgets and ensure spending stays within approved limits.
  • Handle administrative tasks: event bookings, invoices, and post‑event reports.
  • Assist with external promotional events, trade fairs, and brand collaborations.
  • Support PR activities, marketing coordination, and event‑related communications.
  • Uphold luxury brand standards and ensure every event reflects the resort's commitment to excellence and personalised service.
