  • Execute administrative activities related to ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 agreements with certification bodies and flag administrations.
  • Provide support to Vessel Masters/OIMs during certification processes.
  • Conduct shipboard surveys and studies under ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 frameworks.
  • Perform market research related to maritime law and regulations.
  • Report vessel incidents to the flag administration following company and flag procedures.
  • Conduct onboard Minimum Safe Manning assessments.
  • Support vessels in managing Flag Certificates and official documents.
  • Contribute to monitoring safety, security, and labor management systems.
  • Develop and update relevant vessel documents.
  • Manage Flag inspections and Port State Control activities per procedures.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and submit timely reports. 

Auditing & Inspection Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits for ISM/ISPS and MLC2006 inspections per the yearly plan.
  • Verify compliance with flag requirements as part of internal audits/inspections.
  • Report audit/inspection results clearly and promptly; distribute internal reports according to procedure.
  • Issue findings and ensure follow-up corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure timely closure of findings and adhere to escalation procedures.
  • Assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Update monitoring systems with relevant audit/inspection information. 


Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Naval Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid Internal Auditor Certificates for ISM, ISPS, and MLC2006 from recognized training providers.

Experience

  • 2–3 years in a similar auditing/inspection role.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and flag state requirements.
  • Ability to perform administrative and audit-related tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Competent in managing corrective actions and effectiveness assessments.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
