Job Summary

Overall Purpose of the Role: Support the implementation of HR operations and processes across the employee lifecycle.

Why This Role Matters: This role ensures the smooth operation of people services and contributes to employee satisfaction and organisational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Take lead on work permit, visa, and tax registration processes for all expatriates and secondees. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

- Maintain accurate employee records, both physical and digital. 

- Ensure employee data in HRIS is complete and regularly updated. 

- Support in issuing official letters (e.g. employment confirmation, visa support letters). 

- Track probation periods, contract end dates, and other HR deadlines. 

- Monitor leave balances and update records in the HR system. 

- Handle sick leave, late arrivals, and absence reporting. 

- Coordinate public holiday and special leave communications. 

- Support implementation of HR policies and ensure employee compliance.  

- Help ensure company practices are aligned with Thai Labour Law and BOI requirements. 

- Assist in handling employee grievances or disciplinary procedures under guidance. 

- Contribute ideas to build a strong company culture and positive employee experience.

- Support employee feedback surveys or townhall events. 

- Be a visible, friendly HR contact for day-to-day employee queries.

Internal/External Interactions: Coordinate with employees, department heads, and external service providers (e.g. visa agencies, insurance brokers).

Knowledge Responsibilities: Keep current on local labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.

Financial Responsibilities: Assist in managing budgets for HR-related activities and vendor services.

HR Responsibilities: Provide second-level support for secondment onboarding and employee engagement activities.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within Thailand.

Tools, Technology & Systems Used: HRIS, Excel, Google Workspace, Work Permit & Visa Application Portals.

Qualification

Education / Certification: Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 2+ years HR operations experience; Knowledge of Thai labour law; Organised and detail-oriented; Fluent in Thai and English.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Experience in a multinational environment; Prior exposure to visa/work permit processes; Event organisation skills.
