IceLake Capital is a private equity firm based in Amsterdam, focused on investing in ambitious, growing companies across Europe. As we continue to scale our internal operations, we are looking to hire a proactive and experienced IT Manager who will take ownership of all IT-related matters for IceLake itself including systems, support, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor management.

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead IceLakes internal IT operations. This role is fully dedicated to supporting our internal team, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and enable seamless day-to-day operations.

A key responsibility will be managing the relationship with our external IT service partner, ensuring high service quality, adherence to SLAs, and alignment with IceLakes needs and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Internal IT Operations

  • Own and manage all internal IT systems (devices, user accounts, software tools, network access).

  • Monitor and improve the firms digital workplace environment (Microsoft 365, cloud storage, VPN, etc.).

  • Maintain hardware inventory and ensure all equipment is secure and up to date.

  • Coordinate IT-related aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding.

IT Support & Service Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT questions and issues.

  • Act as internal lead for our external IT service provider, managing responsiveness, support quality, and escalations.

  • Track and report on IT service performance, manage support tickets, and ensure SLAs are met.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Oversee implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and best practices.

  • Ensure multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, and backup systems are in place and operational.

  • Work with leadership to ensure IT compliance with GDPR and internal governance policies.

Tech, Vendor & Software Management

  • Manage IT vendors, tools, licenses, and related costs.

  • Evaluate and optimize our technology stack to meet the needs of a modern private equity firm.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Contribute to IT strategy, including AI and automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized professional services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of modern workplace tools (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).

  • Experience managing external IT service providers or MSPs.

  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Service-oriented, proactive, and able to operate independently.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
