Job Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves building and optimizing data models, dashboards, and reporting tools while ensuring accuracy, scalability, and performance of BI systems. The BI Engineer will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Design, develop, and maintain semantic model using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSAS
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy across BI systems.
- Monitor BI solutions for performance and implement improvements where necessary.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and new BI technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in CS, IS, or related field.
- Proven experience 3 years as a BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SSAS).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, OLAP, and dimensional modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
- Previous experience in Banking sector or Telecom or Public Sector.
