A UK-based SaaS company is helping scientists around the world run behavioral and cognitive research online. Used by leading universities globally, their platform powers experiments ranging from simple reaction time tests to complex simulations.

As the product evolves, the company is looking for a Full-Stack TypeScript Developer with a strong front-end focus to join their remote team full-time. In this role, you'll help reshape the product's user interface, improving clarity, usability, and the overall experience, especially for new users navigating the platform for the first time.

This is an exciting opportunity to make meaningful contributions to both the product's design and functionality in a growing, mission-driven environment.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve features across the platform using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and jQuery.
  • Take ownership of front-end development tasks, with a strong focus on improving UI/UX, especially in onboarding and user journeys.
  • Rethink and redesign user flows to make complex concepts easier to understand and interact with.
  • Help clarify and reflect the product's underlying logic through intuitive interfaces.
  • Identify and fix usability issues in the existing platform.
  • Implement improvements that make the platform easier to use, especially for first-time users.
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to define, test, and release new features quickly and iteratively.
  • Integrate third-party APIs (analytics, tools, etc.) as needed.


Main Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a front-end emphasis.
  • Strong skills in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Backend development experience with Node.js and Express.
  • A good sense for user experience, capable of thinking through and refining how users interact with the product.
  • Experience designing or improving UI flows for clarity and ease of use.
  • Comfortable simplifying complex workflows into approachable, intuitive interfaces.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Self-directed and productive in a remote work environment.
  • Bonus if you're interested in science, research, or education tech.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with SQL and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of user onboarding, education UX, or interactive tool design.
  • Prior experience in a startup or product-focused team.
