Position: Commercial Manager

Overview:

The Commercial Manager will take the lead in implementing sales and marketing strategies for a company focused on the extraction of snake and scorpion venom, and the distribution of peptides, toxins, enzymes, and proteins derived from these venoms. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, outstanding communication abilities, and a solid history of success in commercialization and business expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Expansion: Pinpoint and approach prospective clients, partners, and markets for our products. Cultivate and sustain connections with essential players, such as pharmaceutical firms, research organizations, and biotech companies. Manage the negotiation process for contracts and agreements with clients to ensure terms that benefit both parties.
  • Market Analysis and Strategic Planning: Perform market research to detect trends, analyze the competitive environment, and uncover growth opportunities. Fine-tune the company's market position and unique selling proposition. Design and implement strategies for entering new markets and broadening the customer base.
  • Marketing and Product Promotion: Work in tandem with the marketing department to plan and execute compelling marketing campaigns and promotional efforts. Produce marketing materials like brochures, presentations, and digital content that highlight product benefits. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to boost visibility and networking.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with the research and development team to gain an in-depth understanding of the scientific foundation of product development. Ensure coordination with production and logistics to guarantee efficient product delivery to clients.
  • Sales Performance Oversight: Establish sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company's financial objectives. Evaluate sales outcomes, using data to fine-tune sales approaches. Report regularly to upper management on sales results and obstacles.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for major clients, addressing their queries, concerns, and feedback. Strive for outstanding customer service to foster durable relationships conducive to repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Biology, or a related discipline (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or similar roles within the pharmaceutical, venom industry , biotech, or life sciences sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of products and their applications in research, medicine, or related areas.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills for navigating complex market scenarios.
  • Analytical capabilities for interpreting sales data and market trends to guide decision-making.
  • Team player able to work effectively with multifunctional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Preparedness to travel for conferences, meetings, and client engagements.
