Senior Auditor (Banking)

About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Auditor with a strong background in the Banking industry. The ideal candidate will have solid external or internal audit experience, strong knowledge of accounting and banking regulations, and the ability to lead audit engagements effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics majoring in Accounting. 
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an external auditor in a reputable public accounting firm or as an internal auditor in a bank.
• Proven experience in conducting audits within the Banking industry.
• Familiarity with or experience in Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Strong leadership skills, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Summary of duties

• Planning, directing and completing audit processes through all phases of ongoing projects, as well as engagement management for multiple clients.
• Assisting in engagement management and participating in development activities.
• Developing and supervising assistants.
• Conducting the audit as outlined by the Engagement Partner and Engagement Manager in accordance with the Firms standards.
• Taking an active part in audit planning and fraud discussion to identify risks, fulfil the accounting process, and control and appropriate audit strategy.
