About the job IT Application Support Specialist IT Delivery Cards Area
First, this role is part of IT Delivery within the Private Individuals unit focused on Cards area squads. The mission of the PI Delivery Unit is to enable our Business strategy of Building a digital bank with a human touch. Particulary, the Cards area targets the development and maintenance of solid, secure and up-to-date end2end solutions for cards related functionalites (both issuing and aquiring) used by our customers. We aim to offer our customers stress free daily banking through accesible features, fast&safe payments and easy to use digital solutions and apps.
As an IT DevOps Engineer, your goal is to constantly provide 2nd level support, improve and scale our applications & platforms to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers. You will be responsible for the support, creation, monitoring, and automation of services cloud/on-prem infrastructure and pipelines while enabling and collaborating with product teams to efficiently deliver high-quality projects. You will have endless opportunities for architecture design and implementation within cloud infrastructure and on-premises. As an IT DevOps Engineer, you will help us in providing the highest quality full-stack management solution for our banking applications.
What You Will Do:
- Provide Level 2 technical support for cards related banking applications.
- Investigate & resolve incidents related to the cards related applications.
- Conduct incident and problem management activities.
- Perform problem and root cause analysis for application production incidents and delivers the necessary resolution pack.
- Provide deployment support on lower environments: Test, Pre-live.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade our infrastructure, applications, and platforms, both on-premises and in the Cloud.
- Improve automation by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts.
- Patch & resolve vulnerabilities for applications and platforms.
- Provide support for IT Service Responsible in their specific activities, when necessary (e.g. lower environment setups for vendors developers/ regulatory activities such as periodical password renewals/ necessary configurations to address pen-test findings/audit points etc)
You'll Succeed With:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift or EKS
- Hands-on skills in Linux systems
- Experience with web application servers and load balancers (any of: F5, Nginx, Apache), databases (any of: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with Docker methodologies and delivery.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies (ELK stack and Dynatrace preferred).
- Hands-on experience with GIT
- Knowledge of building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in agile practices
- Previous production support experience, with can do mind-set, proactive and client oriented attitude and hands-on mentality.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to work remotely and manage your own time in a team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cache technologies (Redis), queue and streaming technologies (Kafka, IBM MQ, SQS).
- Experience working in an Agile team with Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience with several of: Ansible, Shell scripting, Python, Groovy, Jenkins
- Some technical certifications would be awesome!
