Overview
The role of the IT Project Manager is to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that the customer is satisfied with the success of the product delivered.
Responsibilities
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
- Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
- Leading project meetings, preparing meeting minutes and providing status updates to management
- Identification of project risks, issues and trigger escalation process
- Experienced in test management
- Monitoring of financial health of the project
- Management of RTO requests infrastructure/VTS
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
- Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
- Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
- Ensure that projects is proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
- Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience on a similar position
- Practical knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.)
- Banking industry and products knowledge
- Proven experience with IT project deliveries
- Solid understanding of IT architectural principles
- Knowledge of Security and Compliance principles and regulations in banking industry
- Very good communication skills
- Very good analytical skills
- Very good problem-solving skills
- Very good negotiation skills
- Very good stakeholder management skills
- Very good people management skills, ability to lead PM team
- Ability to work under stress
- Perfect knowledge of MS office tools
