About the job [F/2025/018X] Executive Officer, HSSE

Role holder plays a crucial role in supporting and executing the health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures at BEDB. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational tasks within the HSSE function, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to safety projects, and facilitating stakeholder engagements to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Role & Responsibilities

A. Operational Support

  • Assist in the implementation of HSSE strategies and policies.
  • Support daily HSSE operations, including routine safety and security programs.
  • Maintain and update HSSE management systems and documentation.

B. Compliance and Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with WSH & Fire Safety regulatory standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, reporting findings to senior HSSE staff.

C. Incident Management

  • Assist in managing HSSE incidents, including response coordination and follow-up.
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans.

D. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate communication and advisory services to tenants and internal stakeholders on HSSE matters.
  • Liaise with government and private agencies to address HSSE-related issues.

E. Project Support

  • Contribute to HSSE-centric project management, ensuring alignment with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project compliance with HSSE requirements.

F. Training and Development

  • Support the development and delivery of HSSE training programs.
  • Participate in continuous learning to enhance HSSE knowledge and skills.

Minimum requirement

  • Bachelors degree in Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Certification, ISO 45001 Practitioner Certified preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcomed to apply.
  • Some experience in an HSE & Security role, with experience in industrial or corporate settings is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with local and international HSSE regulations and standards.

You must also be:

  • Knowledgeable of HSSE practices, regulations and standards.
  • Able to support and manage daily HSSE operations effectively.
  • Strong in communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interactions.
  • Able to identify and resolve HSSE issues proactively.
  • Work effectively within the HSSE team and with cross-functional teams.
