Role holder will be responsible in organising, monitor and oversee all operations and maintenance of BEDBs buildings and asset. The jobholder will develop and implement policies, managing contracts and procedures to maintain the assets and facilities in good working condition at all times. Knowledge or experience in business and hospitality will be an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Create and Implement operation and maintenance schedules and conduct best facilities management practices.
  • Control budgets for maintenance operations and monitor expenses.
  • Create, monitor and execute maintenance schedules for all BEDBs assets.
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance and operations for BEDBs buildings and assets with relevant BEDB departments or sections, this include planning, marketing and promoting space and enhancing the services.
  • Coordinate with staff, relevant tenants and stakeholders when planning and undertaking maintenance works.
  • Review reports on incidents and complaints and come up with proposals of mitigation actions.
  • Investigate and resolve issues on the spot.
  • Create reports for FMT Manager and Lead on maintenance status.
  • Responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed.

Key Requirements

  • Holds a Degree / Diploma in any technical background; Facilities Management or Operation and Maintenance background.
  • Have at least 3 years experience in the Operation and Maintenance / Facilities Management field in the supervisory role.
  • Experience in Business Development and Hospitality is an added advantage.
  • Applicants with investigation / analytical skills in technical problem solving will have an added advantage.
  • Experience and know how using relevant technology and equipment in facilities management and maintenance.
  • Experience in reporting and budgeting with cost benefit analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis.
  • Strong representation and negotiation skills with staff at all levels with good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical and practical skills for problem solving.
  • Excellent computer skills. Having knowledge in AutoCAD, Power BI is an advantage.
  • Good negotiation, supervisory skills; tactful but assertive manner.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Have good logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service experience / background is an added advantage.
  • Have the ability to cope under pressure.
  • Able to work off hours if / when required.
  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Able to analyse various properties and equipment and detect potential safety hazards.
  • Knowledge is WHSO or IOSH will be an added advantage.
