Production Manager
Reports To: Managing Director / Operations Director
Location: Production Facility / Office
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Job Purpose
To oversee all aspects of production, despatch, and facilities operations to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective performance across the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily production plan, logistics activities, and overall team performance.

Lead and coordinate production, technical, and logistics teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including lean practices and waste reduction.

Manage budgets, productivity levels, and operational cost control.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and Health & Safety standards across all functions.

Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.

Support customer delivery schedules and maintain strong service standards.

Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and team leaders to strengthen team capability.
Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in operations or factory management within the food or FMCG industry.

Strong understanding of food safety systems such as HACCP and BRC.

Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in budget management and resource planning.

Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
